Nerikomi Square Single Flower Vase

This exquisite bud vase is handcrafted by Tetsuo Nagae, a renowned ceramic artist from Seto City, a region with 1,000 years of pottery history.

The Masterful Technique of Nerikomi Unlike painted ceramics, this piece is created using the labor-intensive Nerikomi (kneaded clay) technique. Different colors of clay—Blue, Yellow, and Gray—are meticulously layered, cut, and reassembled to create a pattern that runs through the entire body of the vase. This ensures that the intricate design is visible from every angle, inside and out.

The Design: Pinwheel (Kazaguruma) The vase features a rhythmic Pinwheel (Kazaguruma) motif, symbolizing movement and traditional Japanese elegance. The geometric, mosaic-like texture creates a modern and refreshing aesthetic that complements any interior.
