Craft Yuuki was founded in 1997 by Kiyotaka Yamazaki in Seto, Aichi Prefecture, one of Japan's historic centers of ceramic production.

Yamazaki creates his works entirely by hand, from the original forms and molds through painting, glazing, and finishing. His animal and bird pieces are particularly distinctive for their combination of recognizable, almost lifelike features and a gentle, approachable charm.

He describes this creative philosophy as "Real Kawaii"—a balance between realism and the warmth of something irresistibly endearing.

🌿 A Character Created in Ceramic

One of the pleasures of Yamazaki's work is that the animal is not treated simply as a decorative pattern. The shape, expression, pose, and functional elements are designed together to give each figure its own personality.
